The DIY kits were introduced to cater
for the workshop or installer who wants
to design their own intercooler and
piping setup, but doesn’t want to have
to design complicated Supercharger
mounting bracketry. This alleviates the
need for costly laser aligning tools to
make sure the drive belt is tracking
correctly as well as the hassle of
getting brackets designed and laser cut.
All DIY kits are initially designed on
vehicles before being accurately drawn
on the latest Engineering programs and
perfected by our in-house design team.
The kit is then put through its paces in
both dyno tuning and on road testing
before being released to the public.
The basic components of the DIY kits
are:
Rotrex Supercharger (correctly sized for
the engine application)
Oiling kit and Oil Cooler
Supercharger drive pulley
Supercharger mounting bracketry
Drive Belt
Drive belt tensioner setup (if needed)
Additional crankshaft drive pulley (if
needed)
Associated fasteners
Individual Rotrex Superchargers are also
available for those installers who would
like to design the entire kit
themselves.
