International V8 392 ci SuperchargedTake an International V8 out of a Fire Engine. Supercharge it! Give it Fuel Injection! Fit it into a Scout. MAKE IT GO HARD - LOOK GOOD! Design Engineer Damian Toomey tackles the project head on by utilising the existing Bullet Supercharger Manifold. Some clever decision work creates a CNC Machined adaptor that will create a bolt-on situation for both the supercharge and the injection. Next is the belt drive system, and this requires a new crank shaft pully to drive the aircon and the supercharger with a multirib belt, at this stage a comodore power steering pump was added. The engine is now fitted into the Scout chassis and the extractors are fabricated. Still to come:
